The Reborn of JIBB Watch
In 2010, Barro registered the watch brand name “JIBB” to acknowledge the achievements of his ancestor, Mr. Jibb Barro. Mr. Barro has been leading the Barro team with the focus on product design and Swiss manufacturing techniques to continue the over hundred years family watchmaking history with a new look.
In addition to adhering to the JIBB watchmaking traditions, the Barro team also makes extensive use of modern technology by deploying precision engineering and automation in watchmaking. Such has helped JIBB watches to cater for the unique and elegant looks pursued by fashionable consumers, and at the same time, accommodates the professionals who demand for precision.
The market response was unexpectedly overwhelmed when JIBB was launched. JIBB quickly rooted itself in the market amongst the established Swiss brands. In three years’ time, JIBB has expanded to the Southeast Asian markets. JIBB timepieces are well recognized in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea that has been sought and collected by watch fans since then.
JIBB has currently launched seven watch series made with century-old watchmaking traditions and Switzerland self-winding movements, coupled with abrasion-resistant sapphire crystal mirror, casing of stainless steel or rose gold shell and watch straps of different materials. Each series is characterized with exclusive design concepts and approaches to suit for wearing for different occasions.
